Mendip United repeated their GFA Senior Amateur Cup win at AEK Boco to keep alive their hopes of pipping their hosts for the runners-up spot behind Longwell Green Sports Res. The 3-1 success lifts them to within two points of Boco with two games left to play fro each team this week. Boco’s visit to the newly-crowned champions on Thursday evening may settle the issue if Mendip can win against St. Philips MAS and Bitton Res.
Wick finished in fourth place after a convincing 4-1 win over Hallen Res.
Patchway Town Res. Had to win their final game of the season at Henbury Res. and hope that Lawrence Rovers slipped up at Greyfriars Athletic. However, despite Patchway doing all they could do by winning 4-1; Lawrence Rovers did likewise and clinched the second promotion spot behind Seymour United.
Patchway’s victory also means that Henbury will finish the season in the bottom two places.
