HIGHRIDGE UTD 1 OLD SODBURY 0 (aet)
GFA Senior Amateur Cup quarter final
A very tight game by two evenly matched teams in tough conditions, saw HIGHRIDGE UTD steal this cup tie with barely minutes to go. In the second period of extra time and with a lot of tired players on both sides, HIGHRIDGE UTD's player/manager JOHN BERRY brought on fresh legs in NICK TOWNLEY and JACK RIDDIFORD. This substitution gave HIGHRIDGE just the edge they needed. Great work and determination from HARRY HOCKING on the right flank saw him send in a perfect cross for GARRY WARREN to head home from six yards.
The result could have been very different had it not been for a splendid penalty save from HIGHRIDGE keeper RICH JENKINS early in the first half of normal time
