This is the first time this season that we have had a complete blank weekend, this cold spell has certainly hit everyone hard.
The season so far has gone really well and we are well up with our fixtures. The four teams challenging for the Championship are Tuffley Rovers, Henbury, Cribbs Friends Life and Ellwood. Ellwood could make up ground if the teams above them slip up.
Tuffley Rovers and Cribbs Friends Life have applied for promotion. Cribbs Friends Life have applied to the Toolstation League whilst Tuffley Rovers have applied to both the Toolstation League and the Hellenic League.
At the foot of the table Yate Town Reserves have been rooted there all season but have a number of games in hand over Chipping Sodbury Town and Berkeley Town and could in theory escape finishing bottom if they can put a run of good results together.
Rockleaze Rangers and Kingswood could also find themselves in trouble if they fail to get a few wins under their belt.
There have been 8 applications for entry into the Gloucestershire County Football League next season. Unfortunately two of those applications are from Reserve Teams whose first team does not play at a high enough level to be considered at this present time.
The other applications are as follows:
Gloucestershire Northern Senior League: - Frampton United, Gala Wilton, Harrow Hill.
Bristol Suburban League: - Bristol Telephones and Southmead CS Athletic.
Bristol Premier Combination: - Wick.
At present - Frampton United top the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League with Gala Wilton also challenging.
Southmead CS Athletic currently top the Bristol Suburban League with Bristol Telephones in hot pursuit.
