The top two in the Blue Square Bet Premier remained unchanged on Saturday as both Wrexham and Fleetwood Town collected three points from their respective clashes.
Andy Morrell's Wrexham kept up the pressure on leaders Fleetwood with a 2-0 victory against strugglers Bath City at the Racecourse Ground. Curtis Obeng fired the Red Dragons into the lead after just 13 minutes and Jake Speight notched their second from the penalty spot on 48 minutes.
Micky Mellon's Fleetwood Town rallied from a goal down to record a 2-1 win against Forest Green Rovers at the New Lawn. The hosts broke the deadlock on 31 minutes thanks to Matty Taylor but Magno Vieira leveled the scores on 44 minutes before an injury-time goal from substitute Rob Atkinson sealed the result in Fleetwood's favour.
Alan Devonshire's Braintree Town bounced back to winning ways as a 79th-minute goal from Aswad Thomas helped them to a 1-0 victory over nine-man Barrow at the Amlin Stadium.
Marcus Law's Tamworth ended a worrying run of poor form with a narrow victory against Cambridge United at the Abbey Stadium, as Liam McDonald's 50th-minute goal proved to be enough to seal all three points.
Two quick-fire goals from Chris Smith (60) and Ashley Chambers (61) helped York City claw their way back on even terms with Darlington at the Northern Echo Arena after goals from Adam Rundle (43) and John McReady (49) had given the hosts a two-goal advantage.
Mansfield Town kept their play-off aspirations alive with a 3-0 victory over Liam Daish's Ebbsfleet United at Stonebridge Road. Matt Green fired the Stags into the lead on 22 minutes before a brace from Gary Roberts (38, 90) put the result beyond doubt.
Newport County boosted their survival prospects after coming out on top against 10-man Gateshead in a five-goal thriller at the International Stadium. The Tynesiders looked to be firmly in the driving seat after goals from Liam Hatch (45) and Jon Shaw (53) had given them a two-goal lead. However, Elliott Buchanan pulled one back for Newport on 57 minutes before two injury-time goals from Sam Foley (90) and Jake Harris (90) sealed a remarkable comeback for the visitors.
And to add insult to injury, Gateshead's Jamie Chandler received his marching orders just moments after the restart.
Grimsby Town edged closer towards the play-off places with a 2-0 home victory over AFC Telford United. Robert Duffy broke the deadlock on 81 minutes before former Bristol City player Frankie Artus made sure of the result with an 89th-minute goal.
Liam Watson's Southport maintained their play-off hopes with a 2-0 win over Hayes & Yeading United at Kingfield Stadium. Steve Akrigg netted the Sandgrounders' opener on 22 minutes before Sam Sheridan doubled their advantage in the 67th minute.
Aman Verma 36th-minute penalty was enough to help Kettering Town claim a 1-0 victory against David Holdsworth's Lincoln City at Nene Park.
Gary Brabin's Luton Town returned to the winning trail as a 39th-minute penalty from George Pilkington helped them to a 1-0 win over Alfreton Town at Kenilworth Road.
Stockport County extended their unbeaten run to three games with a 2-1 win over high-flying Kidderminster Harriers at Edgeley Park. Sean McConville opened Stockport's account on 21 minutes before Danny Rowe doubled their tally with a 55th-minute effort. Nick Wright managed to pull one back for the visitors just one minute later but the Hatters held firm to claim a valuable three points.
Woking maintained their nine point lead at the top of the Blue Square Bet South standings as bottom-placed Thurrock were thrashed by second-placed Dartford.
Moses Ademola netted an 84th minute winner for the Cards to cancel out Mario Noto's 55th minute equaliser for Boreham Wood, in a match where Elvis Hammond (23) had opened the scoring for his promotion-chasing side.
Wood were unmoved as a result, staying in 13th with 32 points while there was little change amongst the top five sides despite the Darts' impressive afternoon as third-placed Welling United and fourth-placed Chelmsford City drew and fifth-placed Sutton United lost to mid-table Eastleigh.
Elliot Bradbrook (11), Danny Harris (30), James Rogers (34), Lee Burns (72), Tony Garrod (77) and Elliot Bradbrook (79) were all on target for Dartford, leaving Thurrock rock-bottom with 16 points from their 27 matches played.
Loick Pires (43), meanwhile, came to Welling's aid with a first half strike to cancel out an early Max Cornhill effort for Chelmsford City with just 14 minutes on the clock. The Wings are now three points behind Dartford with the Clarets a further two points adrift.
Elsewhere, Sutton had no answer for Bradley Bubb, who netted a hat-trick (32, 50, 62) for Eastleigh with Damian Scannell (82) rounding off the scoring late on.
The Fleet, however, remain two points clear of Weston-super-Mare with the Seagulls having been on the end of a 3-0 drubbing by Bromley, who move out of the bottom three and into 19th place with 25 points. Hakeem Araba (2, 76) netted a brace with Pierre Joseph-Dubois (80) also on target.
Dover Athletic were held to a 1-1 draw in their clash with Salisbury City where Glen Southam (57) cancelled out City's Robbie Matthews' (45) first half strike.
Farnborough moved up one place from 18th to 17th with their 1-0 win over ninth-placed Basingstoke Town - Phillip Page (90) netting the only goal late in that match.
Truro City, meanwhile, heaped more misery on Staines Town, who dropped into the relegation zone with a 2-1 defeat. Mark Nwokeji (65) had opened the scoring for the Swans but a double from Andy Watkins (73, 88) saw them overtaken by Hampton & Richmond Borough and Bromley.
Borough were held to a 2-2 draw by Havant & Waterlooville, who moved up one place to 15th. Chris Holland netted a late equaliser for the Hawks who twice came from a goal down. David Tarpey (2) opened the scoring before a Steven Ramsey (35) equaliser, and Tobi Alabi (67) reclaimed the lead again for hs side before Holland's 76th minute effort.
And finally, Maidenhead United moved up two placed to 14th with their 2-0 win over Eastbourne Borough, who dropped one place to 18th as Leigh Henry (14) and Alex Wall (15) scored within a minute of each other in the first half. Who will finish as the season's top scorer?
