Bristol Under 18 Combination
As the end of the season approaches the picture becomes clearer as to the Divisional Champions and runners up. In the Bristol Division 1 Oldland are clear winners with 1 game still to play with Broadwalk Colts, who completed their fixtures 5 days ago, runners up. In Bristol Division A Imperial Saints made sure of top spot following their 3-0 win over Ashton Boys today with Stoke Lane, who also won comfortably today with 10-1 thrashing of Frampton Rangers, in runners up position. In the Gloucestershire Division, newly formed for this season, Almondsbury are run away winners but the runner up spot is still being fiercely contested between Forest Green Rovers and Charfield. Forest Green, with one game left to play, have a four-point advantage over Charfield who still have 3 games to play and with favourable results and Forest Green failing at the final hurdle could snatch runners up position.

Made Forever 1 Oldland Abbotonians 1
Oldland Abbotonians 3 Made Forever 0
Today’s double fixture turned out to be a tight affair with two good games being played. In the first game Made Forever scored a great goal from approximately 30 yards and it stayed like that till 10 minutes from the end when Sam Lee scored to level for Oldland in a draw which gave Oldland the league title. In the second game Oldland started faster and  scored 3 quick goals in the 1st period through Dan Leat, Felix Hauge and Joe Chandler. The 2nd half was equal in missed chances for both teams, so it finished 3-0 to Oldland in an evenly matched contest played in the right spirit and controlled by a very good referee.
Bristol Division A
Imperial Saints 5 Ashton Boys 0
Imperial Saints made certain of winning Division A with a 5-0 win toady. Imperial opened their score following a move started by Joe Sheppard when he passed the ball to Mike Rimmer who chested the ball down for Dan Caswell to half volley the ball from 15 yards out into the net.  This was followed by their second of the half when Dan Caswell cut inside from the left and was brought down on the edge of the 18 yard box. Up stepped Mitch Purnell to put a quality free kick into the top right hand corner out of reach of the keeper. With seconds to go to the interval Imperial thought that they had increased their score to 3 when a Mitch Purnell shot hit the roof of the net but the referee ruled it out as it had not crossed the line before he blew for half time. In the second half Mitch Purnell drilled home from 18 yards via the post following a passing move involving Joe Sheppard and Jack Luton. The fourth goal originated from a long throw from goal keeper Ben Williams to Mike Rimmer who quickly moved the ball on via Marcus Morgan to Sam Downes who lobbed the ball over the advancing keeper. Frampton Rangers 1 Stoke Lane Athletic 10
In the final game of the season Stoke Lane went out with all guns blazing to make certain of the runners up spot in the Division when they outplayed Frampton Rangers in all departments of the game and scored 10 goals. Stoke Lane started the brighter and put pressure on from the start and within 30 minutes were 5 goals up and the game was then well beyond Frampton. The opening goal came from David Brown, Captain Josh Martin scored just after with a clean unmarked header into the top corner from the first corner of the game, followed quickly by a third from Tom Murray. David Brown and Tom Murray both got another each before half time. During this period and through out the game Frampton did create occasional chances but their finishing was very weak. Early in the second half Frampton did raise their game and found the net with a well taken goal but they were unable to sustain this improvement and Stoke Lane were soon back in the scoring groove. With Injuries to David Brown super-sub 7ft tall Simeon Adewale can on to cause havoc for the Frampton defence and his hard work and hustling created an opportunity to add to the score sheet. Tom Murray continued the theme with a few more goals and scored 5 in total. The last super sub Sebastian Hull then netted in the dying minutes to make it double-figures for Stoke Lane and a well-deserved victory.
