Henbury Colts completed their AYL under 16 campaign with a 2-1 victory over Bitton, who were Henbury's first opponents when they started off at under 8's.
Bitton opened the scoring on 20 minutes when Liam Bliss got on the end of a Jordan Smith through ball to lift it over keeper Dale Hill into the net. Henbury pushed for the equaliser but were thwarted by some top class defending by Bitton, together with a couple of fine saves from Dan Jackson.
The second half became a very open affair and Henbury got on level terms when Stephen Moss playing his first game since breaking his ankle in December, netted from a Jack Mills corner. Joseph Hicks was causing the Bitton defence as sorts of problems and with 7 minutes left was brought down in the box for a match winning penalty which was dispatched by Luke Cox into the corner of the net.
