Hanham Minor League
Hanham Minor League Under 10 Cup Final.
AEK-Boco came back from two goals down to secure a league and cup double against close rivals Bitton. In the first game, Bitton were dominant, playing some flowing football and deservedly taking a two-goal lead at Fry's Club in Keynsham, despite excellent keeping from Jack Madge and a strong performance from Luke Withey. Boco came storming back in the second game, but only secured one goal, courtesy of Jack Robson, by half-time as Bitton defended stoutly. In the second half, Boco's pace and passing began to take its toll. Alex Bisp's half-volley from Georgina Lacey's cross drew things level. Then Boco top scorer Jack Robson put on a virtuoso display of finishing, taking his total for the final to five goals. Georgina Lacey rouned of the scoring to make it 7-2 on aggregate. Although this score was very harsh on a talented Bitton side, they impressed everyone present with the sporting way they congratulated all the Boco players and officials at the end of the game.

The last game of the seasons saw Nicholas Wanderers travel to Bristol City Supporters Juniors for a final showdown. The first game saw Wanderers dominate the play and an early penalty successfully netted by William Brant lifted the tempo. This was to be followed shortly after the break by a cracking 10 yard goal from Jack Green. Wanderers kept their defence tight and good through balls from Brant and Terry Wise allowed Marcus Knapp to score a brace of goals towards the end of the match. City Supporters found a consolation goal right on the final whistle to end game one. (BCJSC 1 – Nicholas Wanderers 4)
The second game saw Wanderers come under pressure early into the game with two quick goals and then a penalty in the first half leaving them holding on to try to salvage the game. Despite some brave saving by Leon Smith in goal it was not to be wanderers day and a further two goals hit the back of the net before the game ended. (final Score BCJSC 5 – NW 0 )
