This final league game of the season between Division 3's promoted teams was a great spectacle.
Oldland got off to a flying start and were leading 2 - 0 after 3 minutes. They showed a greater will win to win and Avon's defence was not at its sharpest. Oldland's pressure pushed the score to 3 - 0 and, at half time, it stood 4 - 1 to the home team. In the second half, Avon turned things around and amazingly, fought back to 4 - 4. Then, with 12 minutes left, Avon took the lead for the first time in the game to make it 5 - 4. Having done so much hard work to get back in the match, Avon's players suddenly tired and Oldland sensed victory - which they won with two good, late strikes from the right side of attack.
Avon's scorers were Rory Langdon (3) Connor Matthews (2). Their star players were Isaac Smith and Gabriel Jackson.
